"I'll be so blue thinking about you."
"It's Christmas time in the city."
Polar opposite in sentiment which makes both songs intriguing to pair.
Thought for consideration -
Perhaps the two defining lyrics for each song are not as seemingly opposite as they appear. In other words -
A blue Christmas is missing a loved one. Christmas is not the same without the loved one.
Is Christmas time in the city special when you shop for gifts? The answer is generally yes. However, what if there is a special someone who will not be home for Christmas, whatever the reason may be. Is Christmas time in the city still meaningful?
And so I have tied the two Christmas songs together.
