One Note - The Audience Will Know

As with one lyric...

If you know a song based on one note, you truly are a lifelong fan.

Let's say you are a fan of Duran Duran since their debut album launch in 1981.  You are at a concert that you have been looking forward to for some time.  Shouts of excitement when the band walks on stage.  And then, somewhere in the set list -

All Nick Rhodes needed to do was strike one note on his keyboard to launch electric excitement about a song the audience knew immediately.

- On the track list for Duran Duran's second album, Rio (1982)
- No. 2 on the UK Singles Chart
- U.S. version released in 1985
- No. 16 on Billboard Hot 100

Okay, let's stay with Duran Duran in their Live from London concert.  Somewhere on their set list -

The audience knew just before the one note to begin the song.  Powerful shouts when the instrumentals began.
