Set List - Second Act

As with Phil Collins - Genesis career and solo career - Peter Gabriel's critical acclaim is profound.

"Solsbury Hill" launched Peter Gabriel's solo career to success beyond what I imagine he may not have expected.

Peter Gabriel recorded ten solo albums -
Peter Gabriel (1977) - Gold in the UK
Peter Gabriel (1978)
Peter Gabriel (1980) - Gold in the UK and U.S.
Peter Gabriel (1982) - Gold in the UK and U.S.
So (1986) - 3x Platinum in the UK/5x Platinum in the U.S.
Us (1992) - Platinum in the UK and U.S.
Up (2002) - Silver in the UK
Scratch My Back (2010)
New Blood (2011)
Rated PG (2019)

My take away -
Genesis would not have been without Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins.  As with Peter Gabriel, I cannot imagine Phil Collins anticipating his solo success being permanently etched into the music industry.  Peter Gabriel, though.  His awards and nominations are well deserved.  In fact, I will conclude on this note-

BMI London Awards
Icon Award (2007)

Ivor Novello Awards
Lifetime Achievement Award (2007)

Q Awards
Q Lifetime Achievement Award (2006)

British Academy of Songwriters, Composers, and Authors
Gold Badge Award
