Billboard Top 5 Diamond-Certified Albums

In the post, The History of RIAA, I was intrigued by the certification process behind Gold qualification, Platinum qualification, Multi-Platinum qualification, and Diamond qualification.  Gold certification and Platinum certification seem to be the most common qualifications.  Multi-Platinum certification and Diamond certification seem to be reserved for the most established of musicians.

In this edition of Lauren's Weekly Favorite, I am highlighting the top 5 musicians with the most decorated albums in terms of certification - as deemed by Billboard.

(The full Billboard list can be found here.)

1.  Prince and the Revolution - Purple Rain (1984)
13x Platinum - Diamond
Over 25 million copies sold worldwide
