A few weeks ago, I promoted my Merchandiser business with the fashion jewelry brand, Chloe + Isabel. At the time, the post was relevant to recent discussion of RIAJ (Recording Industry Association of Japan). The topic was about Chloe + Isabel's Kyoto Travel Guide - jewelry inspired by the historic Japanese culture.
I am now so sad and devastated to say that Chloe + Isabel is going out of business effective July 31, 2019.
This news is difficult to take in because I was once a Merchandiser from August 2014 to October 2017. When the founder and CEO left for reasons only corporate knows, I felt compelled to leave as well. In June of this year, my memories drew me back to Chloe + Isabel and I signed on once more. Determination and dedication were stronger than before. I was prepared to delve well outside of my comfort zone to network and land sales. I was mentally strong where I wasn't before. I was ready...
...And then the news.
I am still numb from the announcement and perhaps denial.
On the other hand, my closest friends made through Chloe + Isabel have been able to move on in other entrepreneurial ventures...as have I. This announcement is soon to come on Set List.
On this note, farewell Chloe + Isabel. May the memories I have created with the jewels, business experience, personal and mental growth, and friendships to last a lifetime remain forever.
