In this edition of Friday Fave, FIMI Platinum is the most popular according to Set List statistics.
As a brief refresher, FIMI - in Italian - stands for Federazione Industria Musicale Italiana. In English, FIMI is better known as Italian Music Industry Federation.
FIMI certifies albums as Gold, Platinum, Multi-Platinum, and Diamond.
Point of intrigue -
Where I find the United States and Japan to have strict qualification standards, Italy may be close behind as Platinum base is 50,000 in sales units.
In FIMI Platinum, I listed all Platinum certifications with 70,000 sales units or more. In posts to come, I will share Multi-Platinum certifications and Diamond certifications.
In due respect to artists not listed on FIMI Platinum and well-deserving of note in this post, below are 50,000 to 60,000 sales units that qualify for Platinum status.
*Italian artists with 50,000 to 60,000 in sales are not listed due to the language barrier and inability to translate.
