The Ultimate Spooktacular Band

In this final edition of Spooktacular Band for the month of October 2022, my concluding band is The Rolling Stones - a spook for the band's impressive longevity.

So let's explore their highlights -

To quote Wikipedia,

"Active for six decades (1962 - present), they are one of the most popular and enduring bands of the rock era."

From early years performing in small clubs to defining grand arena rock, the show truly does go on.

The Beatles and The Rolling Stones are by far the most recognized British invasion early into the concept.  Duran Duran came around some time later...

...Speaking of Duran Duran - If you thought their performances were electric with lighting, screens, and sound, The Rolling Stones were at the forefront of striking performances and continue to be.

Legacy -

30 studio albums, 23 live albums, 12 compilation albums - all including more than 340 songs

4th best-selling group of all time ... Over 240 million albums sold worldwide

#1 single - "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" (considered the classic example of rock and roll)

Only band to top the UK Albums Chart in 6 different decades

No. 4 on Rolling Stone's Greatest Artists of All Time (2010)

First concert in July 1962 ... Over 2,000 concerts worldwide since

Bridges to Babylon, Voodoo Lounge, A Bigger Bang - highest grossing tours of all time

Mick Jagger considered to be "the Rolling Stone who changed music" (The Telegraph)

3 Grammy Awards & 12 nominations

Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award (1986)

Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989

A comprehensive list of awards and nominations received by The Rolling Atones can be found on Wikipedia.

The Rolling Stones' history and legacy will last forever and will continue to inspire artists generations after them.
