Billboard Hot 100 in 1963

Every year on April 29th, I devote a special birthday post to Michael Jackson's "Thriller."

On this the 4th of May 2019, I am devoting a special birthday post to my mom's birthday in a unique way.

My mom was born on May 4, 1963.  She was adopted shortly thereafter.  No one will ever know what her biological parents heard on the radio while en route to the hospital.

And so I did some research to find out what the most popular song was in 1963.  Here is what I found -

The No. 1 song on Billboard Hot 100 in 1963 was "Surfin' U.S.A." by The Beach Boys.

Point of personal interest -
My mom was born in California, so "Surfin' U.S.A." is not entirely far off.
