Billboard Hot 100 - May 1963

In honor of the post, Billboard Hot 100 in 1963, I am reflecting on Billboard Hot 100 in May 1963.

On May 4, 1963, "I Will Follow Him" by Little Peggy March spent two weeks at No. 1 and remained on the charts for 7 weeks.

Out of curiosity, the No. 1 song on Billboard Hot 100 in 1983 was "Every Breath You Take" by The Police.  "Every Breath You Take" remained in the No. 1 chart position on Billboard Hot 100 for eight weeks (the longest held position in 1983).

Point of odd intrigue -
If you consider the song titles alone - "I Will Follow Him" and "Every Breath You Take" - the themes sound rather creepy.
