The Kinks

The Kinks were an English rock band formed in 1963 by brothers Ray and Dave Davies. Other members included Pete Quaife and Mick Avory. Ray (rhythm guitar, lead vocals, keyboards) and Dave (lead guitar, vocals) were the only members to remain with the band. Mick Avory (drums and percussion) was replaced by Bob Henrit. Pete Quaife (bass guitarist) was replaced by John Dalton. Replacements continued after John Dalton left the band. The Kinks last performed in 1996 and eventually dissolved in 1997.
