Speaking of Spring

In this month of March, the theme is Style Cents Magazine - couture designers and their link to pop culture.  For example, Louis Vuitton defining the final few episodes of "Friends."

Today is unique in that water themed songs are replacing fashion, pop culture is not noted, and jewelry accenting the Spring season is capping the day on Set List.

Stella & Dot is a high-end jewelry and accessories brand to match every budget.  The longest running collection is the Charlotte Gemstone Collection - necklaces and bracelets.  In this post, I am sharing Aquamarine for March and Lapis for September - beautiful blue hues to compliment tropical waters.

In the United States alone, fundamental costs such as gas or groceries always desire inflation being slashed by the public to save for other important finances.

Hollywood Walk of Fame - In the Stars

The Hollywood Walk of Fame is always presented to the newest addition before being forever cemented.  For every shining star are feet stepping over them everyday.  The pomp and circumstance is always treasured for the actor or actress - a feeling that no amount of shoes can take away.

Set List - Induction into several Halls of Fame, awards and nominations, ranks on top lists, honors, global certifications...so many more to name here.

Yet, can there be a blend between Hollywood stars and music legends?

In the launch edition of this theme, the Andrews Sisters proved yes.

In this edition, consider Christina Aguilera.

"Voice of a generation" with a 4-octave range

3 No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 singles from Christina Aguilera's 1999 debut album - Christina Aguilera

Stripped (2002) - Generally poor reviews to certified 5x Platinum in the U.S. alone &, with over 12 million copies sold worldwide, is considered one of the best selling albums in the 21st Century

Honors -
5 Grammy Awards
2 Latin Grammy Awards
6 ALMA Awards (American Latino Media Arts)
2 MTV Video Music Awards
1 Billboard Music Award
1 Guinness World Record

Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Considered a pop culture icon

One of the best-selling music artists of all time - over 90 million records sold worldwide

8th on VH1's list of the Greatest Women in Music

Sunday Favorite

In this edition of Sunday Favorite, my top choice is a mix of popular culture, music, and a fashion label with fiction appearance -

The Job Is In Paris

In a span of 10 years - 1994 to 2004 - six characters of entirely different backgrounds and career interests came together out of naturally formed friendship.  When casting settled on six actors, naturally formed chemistry found itself on set, rehearsal, and I am certain table reading.

Laughs and tears

Heartbreak and excited heart

Bloopers with contagious reaction

Studio audiences with contagious reaction

They, and so many at home, got to watch six best friends for half an hour one day a week.

Viewers found themselves somehow relating to one or more characters.  As a late bloomer in fashion, I best related to "Rachel Green" and the real names but fictitious roles.

In reality, I have applied to Bloomingdale's roles, Ralph Lauren roles, and Louis Vuitton roles.  Although ultimately receiving rejections, I do maintain a few fashion related blogs.

Where I will never land a career in the fashion capitol of the world, I do have London on my bucket list.  Since Paris and London have fashion weeks, my bucket list isn't too far off and "Rachel Green" isn't too far off.

And so as you can tell, "Friends" as a sitcom, one line thought to change the course of the series ending, and the popular iconic theme song combine into one Sunday favorite.

Set List Special Edition

International Women's Day

The 19th Amendment was passed and brought to the United States Constitution in the summer of 1920.

The 19th Amendment legally gave women the right to vote with suffrage fighting for this milestone.  This amendment changed the face of political  opinions via filling out and submitting ballots.  Women's voices are forever a force to be reckoned with.

In the 1920s, women voted, opted for bob length hair, and showed off their dance moves with the Charleston and short dresses.  Quite the dare to society generally dominated by men.

The 1920s were not without musical and societal culture highlights.  Consider, on Set List, one of the most iconic composers and songs of then to now -
