David Bowie released Let's Dance, his first after leaving RCA Records and fifteenth overall. "...deliberate shift to mainstream dance-rock" David Bowie's biggest commercial success, with 10.7 million copies sold worldwide.
April 18th -
Ellen Taaffe Zwilich - first woman to win the Pulitzer Prize for Music (Follow the link for more information.)
