April Special Series - Bust A Move

In this edition of April Special Series, I am featuring "Bust A Move" by Young MC.

Released in 1989, "Bust A Move" was quintessential hip hop leading into the 1990s.

Marvin Young is otherwise known as Young MC.  He is a British-born American singer, rapper, and actor.

- Degree in Economics from the University of Southern California
- While in college, Young met Michael Ross and Matt Dike from the record company, Delicious Vinyl

- A contract was sent to Young's USC dorm room

"Bust a Move" critical acclaim -
- No. 7 on Billboard Hot 100
