Eric Clapton is the only musician to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame more than once - three times to be exact...Solo artist, Member of The Yardbirds, Member of Cream.

Point of interest -

Where Jimi Hendrix passed away from drug use, Eric Clapton founded the Crossroads Centre on Antigua for recovering substance abusers in 1998.  Eric, too, was an alcoholic and drug addict.

My take away -

Based on the lengthy list of awards and honors, Eric Clapton has put quite a stamp on the music and entertainment industry on his own and as part of bands.  My mother introduced me to Eric Clapton's music when I was in my teens and my personal favorites are naturally iconic songs in Eric Clapton's name - "I Shot the Sheriff" and "Layla."  A legacy still in progress.
