I would best place the level of proficiency for the Korg EK-50 Entertainer Keyboard at beginner for practicing what you know about the keyboard and advancing with the given features.  I would not recommend this instrument to a complete novice who is first learning how to play and reading musical notes.  If you are dedicated to the keyboard as an instrument, your skill set will grow and you will be able to explore more options with the keyboard as base.  If you are intrigued by the technical end of playing the keyboard, start with the Korg EK-50 Entertainer Keyboard features and grow over time into - perhaps - the Novation MiniNova Compact Keyboard Synthesizer,  37-Key (Soundcheck)
