Sammy Hagar - Solo Debut

Sammy Hagar is well established in the music industry - vocals for the 1970s hard rock band, Montrose, replacing David Lee Roth as lead singer for Van Halen (1985 - 1996), a brief two-year reunion with Van Halen (2003 - 2005),and an ultimately successful solo career.

In 2007, Hagar was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Van Halen.

Genres considered - hard rock, heavy metal

Standing Hampton was Hagar's best selling album, certified Platinum in the U.S.

"Your Love Is Driving Me Crazy," from the follow-up album Three Lock Box, was Hagar's highest charting solo single - No. 13 on Billboard Hot 100.  

Sammy Hagar is best known for "I Can't Drive 55" - No. 26 on Billboard Hot 100.

I Never Said Goodbye was released in 1987, after joining Van Halen.
