As a refresher, the classic versus was between Astronaut2005 Drummer and Duran Duran's official video for the song, "Anniversary." (Note - A follow up post featured "Anniversary" performed live.)
When Duran Duran is a topic of conversation on Set List, classics are always first - the Rio album and select tracks and the Astronaut album and select tracks. Both, of course, included the original lineup. After Andy Taylor's departure, guitarist Dom Brown was brought on board as an additional musician for Red Carpet Massacre, All You Need Is Now, and a brief mention about Paper Gods.
Albums and select tracks that are personal favorites.
Preferred recorded - "Ordinary World" and the whole of The Wedding Album really, "Reach Up For the Sunrise," "The Valley," and I would say "Pressure Off." There may be more to include but for now I will let these songs speak on their own.
Preferred live - "Planet Earth" and now "Anniversary" ... "Planet Earth" performed in 2004 is by far the bench mark.
Which is why Duran Duran's version at the Global Citizen Performance (where I discovered "Anniversary") was as exciting now as it was then.
With that said, consider the following YouTube video -
