Booker T. & the M.G.'s were an American instrumental R&B/funk band.

Steve Cropper (guitar)
Lewie Steinberg (bass)
Al Jackson Jr. (drums)'
The members recorded with such musicians as Wilson Pickett, Otis Redding. Bill Withers, and many more.
In 1965, guitarist Lewie Steinberg left the group and brought in Donald "Duck" Dunn who retained his position until his death in 2912. In 1975, Al Jackson Jr. was murdered. At this point, the band opted not to dissolve and Jones, Cropper, and Dunn continued to perform.
