Island Paradise Albums Part 1

I once was issued a challenge that can relate to anyone.  If you were on a deserted island type challenge.  Well, my dilemma is what music I could have in my deserted island paradise.

After very careful consideration, I have set up Fridays in June to face what has been brought before me.

Island Paradise Albums

Part 1

- HAPA -

Hawaii's Set List

I escape to the Hawaiian island of Kauai when I listen to this album.  The lyrics and the instrumentals offer a peaceful joy to the senses.  Listen to the waves.  Feel the sand and the ocean spray.  Hike mountain paths.  Get immersed in nature's colorful scenery.  Wet the appetite for foreign cuisines on American soil.  Book a 5-star resort overlooking the beach, shop souvenir boutiques, and splash in glam pool layouts.

At the end of the day though, escape - escape to a vacation or to home.  An island paradise and its musical mood are set.

- Rio -

Exotic Tropics Set List

If you are a Duran Duran fan or music video enthusiast, the Rio album will not let you down.  Whether sailing by yacht, riding by elephant, or simply spicing up the ultimate color palette, let the iconic lyrics and instrumentals keep you company on the deserted island paradise.

Quick question - What would you paint your deserted island paradise?

- The Essential Benny Goodman -
"Sing, Sing, Sing"

If you are going to be deserted on an island paradise, there will be much mystery to explore.  Although the album itself is not linked to the tropics and "Sing, Sing, Sing" is an emphasized song to keep me company, the opening whisks listeners to the big band era and the mystery that unfolds from the first drum beat on.
