The spirit of Halloween is defined in such ways as haunting, scary, spooky, mischief, lighthearted, delicious, and innocent. Haunting ghost stories, scary houses, spooky costumes, neighborhood pranks, lighthearted fun going door to door for delicious treats, and children being children on a generally innocent holiday.
And then horror films come out just in time. Cable networks air classics in spine-tingling genres. Family-friendly films and programs air throughout the month.
Let's consider family-friendly. Parents with kiddos. Parents with teens. Families with pets, such as dogs or cats. Of course, having furry ones this time of year is always fun just to see how long they will tolerate being dressed up (if that is something families like to do).
Cats are known for affection and independence, not so much for fashion. Dogs on the other hand brave the elements, or lack thereof, on a daily basis so they define creativity by their creative owners.
In this edition of Halloween on Set List, I am featuring an adorable pup cozily wrapped in a scarf and knit hat while holding on to a happily smiling carved pumpkin.
