As iconic as The Police have come to be, they did have to start somewhere. 

Outlandos d'Amour was the band's debut album released in November 1978.  The lead single, "Roxanne," launched the album to No. 6 in the UK and No. 23 in the U.S.  Two additional singles became a success as well - "Can't Stand Losing You" and "So Lonely."
